John comes from a long line of artists and architects. It’s in his blood.  Born and raised in Pasadena, California, John was encouraged by his Grandmother and Mother to explore his artistic talents, starting at the age of four.  Interior design, architecture, painting and photography were his childhood hobbies and passions.

John attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he studied Business, Marketing, and at the same time nurtured his love for the arts.  

John is a huge traveler and has explored 39 countries to date, which has enhance his eye and ability to think outside the box when it comes to design.  He has seen first-hand how to mix and match color, texture, furniture, art and design; gaining inspiration from Africa, Europe, Asia, India and Morocco.

John has a modern, contemporary design aesthetic, as seen in his gallery of work.  If it’s modernizing a log cabin with black steel and white washed logs, or using mid-century modern pieces in a room, John loves clean lines and modern style.  John does an amazing job at creating beautiful and sophisticated spaces.  You will see a cohesiveness flow throughout all his projects as he sticks to his philosophy of "simple elegance.”
